David Ray Green Obituary Dave Green, 67, of Bonner Springs, KS. Passed away Monday, March 30, 2009 at he and his wife Dawn Marie's home. Memorial Services will be at 6 p.m., Tuesday evening, April 7, 2009 at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS, where the family will receive friends at the visitation Tuesday evening from 4-6 p.m. also at the funeral home. Published in The Kansas City Star 4/5/2009 David Ray Green Dave Green 67 died at home March 30, 2009 where he had lived for 30 years in rural Bonner Springs, Kansas. Dave was born April 16, 1941 in Corder, MO to Jasper & Stella Green, he grew up in Argentine KS and graduated from Argentine High School in 1959. He married Dawn Marie Everett in 1962, which began a life long commitment to each other. They raised four children. Dave worked most of his years, at Trucking Companies as a Shop Supervisor over maintenance. He and his wife enjoyed many trips traveling the U.S.A. all through their years together. Dave loved to drive, sightsee and yes, talk about cars. Some would have considered him as an automobile encyclopedia wondering how he remembered everything. His love for automobiles went through many stages of change. He and longtime friend, Dan Cornelius, took the hobby of auto swap meets, and started their own business-K.C. Obsolete Parts-specializing in old Ford truck parts for over 25 years. Dave recently sold the business. He and his wife were in the transition of moving to Vista, CA to enjoy retirement. Survivors include wife Dawn Marie, son David & wife Michelle in Bonner Springs, KS, daughter Dawn Renee Greary in Raytown, MO, daughter Donysia & husband Kelly Gilmore in Oceanside, CA, son Doug & wife Kim in Hutchinson, KS, brother Bob & JoAnn Green in VA, sisters, Ima McDaniel in MO, Virginia & Jack Hile in MO, Vaunetta Caldwell in MO and grandchildren Travis, Krista, Nick and Jacob. Services were held April 7, 2009 at Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS.
